Check your gift card balance

 

To check your gift card balance online you will need: 

• The 16-digit card number printed on the front of your Visa or Mastercard gift card

• The 3-digit security code (CVV code) printed on the back of your card

• Your card must be activated before you can retrieve your balance.  Click here for instructions to activate your card if you have not already done so.

 

Once you have your card information, follow these simple steps: 

1. Go to https://www.giftcardgranny.com/check-balance

2. Enter your 16-digit card number in the box provided

3. Enter your 3-digit security code (CVV) in the next box

4. Click on the "Check your gift card balance" button

 

After your card information is submitted, you will see a picture of your card along with your available balance. Optionally, you can choose to enter a 4-digit PIN for your card. This allows you to use the card for Debit transactions. If you do not select a PIN, be sure to run your card as a credit. To view your purchases, scroll down to the transaction history section at the bottom of the page.

 

 

 

To check your gift card balance over the phone you will need: 

• The 16-digit card number printed on the front of your Visa or Mastercard gift card

• The 3-digit security code (CVV) printed on the back of your card

• Your card must be activated before you can retrieve your balance. Click here to instructions to activate your card if you have not already done so. 

 

Once you have your card information, follow these simple steps: 

1. Call the toll-free number 855-660-6847

2. Press Option #2 from the menu

3. Enter in your 16-digit card number when prompted

4. Enter in your 3-digit security code (CVV) when prompted

 

Once you have completed steps 1-4 above, you will hear a message with your available card balance. Your purchase history cannot be provided over the phone. To see a list of your purchases, visit https://www.giftcardgranny.com/check-balance and enter in your card information.  The transaction history will be at the bottom of the page

 

 

 

Please follow these steps if you are having problems retrieving your card balance, or if you believe your balance in incorrect:

 

1. Check the back of your card to be sure it's from Gift Card Granny.  You should see the Gift Card Granny logo in the bottom right-hand corner.  If you do not see that logo, please look for a website address or phone number and contact the appropriate company.

2. Check to make sure your card is activated.  Visit this page and enter your card information to make sure it's been activated.

3. If your card cannot be found when entering in the card information, please be sure to re-enter the card number & CVV code.  Entering in the card information too slow or fast may cause the system to not be able to read your card information.  

4. If you are showing a $0 balance, please check the "Valid Thru" date on the front of your card to make sure your card has not expired.

5. If you believe your balance is incorrect and lower than expected, typically this is due to what's called a "Pre-authorization" which means a merchant you swiped the card at, may have authorized the card for a large dollar transaction that what the actual purchase amount was.  The differing amount will revert back to your card typically within 7 days of when the merchant authorized your card.

You are able to use any remaining balance on Amazon. No matter how much is left on your gift card, you can load the remaining balance into your Amazon account. Learn how by following the simple steps below: 

 

1. Check your card balance by visiting https://www.giftcardgranny.com/check-balance/

2. Go to Amazon’s ‘Reload Your Balance’ page

3. Enter the amount that is on your Visa or Mastercard gift card

4. Sign into your Amazon account (this step is required even if you’re already logged in)

5. Enter your gift card information in the specified fields and click ‘Add your card.”

6. Select your gift card as the payment method and click ‘Done’

7. You will then be redirected to the reload your balance screen; verify the amount of the gift card and then click the ‘Reload’ button. 

 

 

 

1. Your Prepaid VISA or Mastercard may be used for either a Debit or Credit transaction.

2. Debit transactions require a 4-digit PIN.  You may create or change your PIN using the self-service options by calling 855-660-6847.

 

 

 

Your Prepaid VISA or Mastercard from www.giftcardgranny.com may only be used in the USA.

 

 

 

1. Store-specific or ‘merchant cards’ generally do not expire.  Usage is governed by the terms and conditions set by the merchant and generally available online.

2. Prepaid VISA and Mastercard Gift Cards expire on the last day of the month on the date printed on the front of the card.
