Free offers during Coronavirus

Updated 3/22/2020

As Americans continue to work together to help stop the spread of the coronavirus with social distancing, we wanted to fill you in on some extraordinary free offers and programs. From educational tools to food delivery, many businesses and institutions are pitching in to help make life a little easier during this time.

1. Planet Fitness

Just because you’re staying in does mean you can’t get a good workout. Beginning March 16 visit the Planet Fitness Facebook page and get your heart rate up with a fitness class. It doesn’t matter if you’re a member of a Planet Fitness gym or not. The live stream classes are free to the public.

2. Scholastic

Even though they might not be in the classroom, you can help your kids continue with their education thanks to Scholastic. With their Learn at Home website, your child can enjoy free educational videos and articles appropriate for their age. Free online classes are available for Pre-K to 12th-grade students.

3. U-haul

Due to the closure of college campuses and universities everywhere, students are finding themselves living back at home and not knowing what to do with all of their stuff. Thankfully, U-haul storage center has offered to help. With a valid student ID, U-Haul is offering free 30-day storage to college students.

4. Uber Eats

Restaurants are facing a tough challenge. As they close the door on dining in options, they need to rely on delivery or take-out to help keep business afloat. Uber Eats announced they will offer free delivery on orders from local restaurants.

5. Free Wi-Fi and unlimited data

Staying connected to family, friends, news updates, educational resources, and even entertainment is important during this time. Several service providers are pitching in to help users across the U.S.

Comcast is offering free Xfinfity Wi-Fi hotspots and unlimited data plans across the US.

Sprint created a What We’re Doing page that outlines a number of free offers available to customers at this time. For example, 60 days of unlimited data, 20 GB of free mobile hotspot, and not charging per-minute toll charges for long-distance calls to select countries just to name a few.

T-Mobile announced it will also offer 60 days of unlimited smartphone data to their customers during this time.

6. Museum Tours

If you’re eager to take in some culture from your couch, there are plenty of virtual museum tours you can check out from around the world. Visit the Louvre, the Met, the Guggenheim and more.

7. Kids Meals

Even though restaurants are one of the businesses getting hit the hardest at the time, many of them are offering free kid’s meals with the purchase of an adult entrée. Order online or in the app at these following restaurants:

Burger King
At participating locations, get up to two free kid’s meals with the purchase of an adult meal. This offer is valid March 23, 2020 – April 6, 2020, while supplies last.

Moe’s Southwest Grill
Order an adult entrée and get a free kid’s meal before March 28, 2020.

8. Concerts

Music artists across all genres are performing live stream concerts to entertain the public at this time. Since we’re still early on in the social distancing, belting out a song or two from your favorite artist is an excellent way to de-stress.

As offers continue to pop up, we will add to this list. So, come back and visit us to see what’s new. Take care from all of us at Gift Card Granny.
