You might be wondering how ARCO prices can afford to be so low when other gas station prices just keep going up. Unlike many other fuel locations, ARCO doesn’t accept credit cards, and because of this, they don’t pay that specific surcharge, and are able to keep prices low. And on top of that, ARCO also sells twice as much gas as its competitors-- helping them keep their prices reasonable! You might see cheap gas and think that it’s going to be bad for you car, that there’s something wrong with it, but ARCO uses Top Tier gas that is made to help improve engine performance, maximize engine protection, and optimize your fuel economy.
While some ARCO locations accept major credit cards, like Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover cards, most other locations do not.
You can find at ARCO gift card at most participating locations. They call their gift cards PumpPASS cards, or prepaid gas cards. If you couldn’t find one in store, they also sell them online through their website, or you can call this number: 1-800-761-9670. Of course, why get a gift card for full price when you can get it discounted through Gift Card Granny?
Since they have a more specific prepaid card, PumpPASS, you can only use it at participating ARCO locations and not at similarly owned gas stations like BP. You can use them either at the pump as you get gas, or inside at the cash register.
The good news is that your card will not expire, and there are no dormancy fees applied. But ARCO will not replace or reimburse you for a lost, stolen, altered, or damaged card.
