Do Royal Caribbean gift certificates ever expire?
When gifting someone travel credit to a cruise, you never know when they are going to have the time to actually cash in your gift. You don’t have to worry about the gift certificate expiring before your loved one gets to use it. Royal Caribbean gift certificates never expire.
Does Royal Caribbean have reloadable gift certificates?
Unfortunately, Royal Caribbean does not allow you to reload Gift Certificates at this time so you will have to purchase a new one every time you run out.
Where can I redeem my Royal Caribbean gift certificate?
- Certificate must be used as a form of payment towards a new reservation made directly with Royal Caribbean. Once the gift certificate is applied to the reservation made, the reservation may be transferred to your preferred travel agency.
- Certificate is valid only for Royal Caribbean International sailings in USD and is not redeemable for cash. It may be applied to all ships, departures and stateroom categories.
- Certificate may not be applied to a group reservation, charter or customized group program.
- Certificate may not be used towards onboard credit or to settle any shipboard charges. A deposit is required at time of booking.
- Certificates may be used in multiples and may be used to supplement cash payment or credit card.
- All reservations are subject to availability.
- Once a reservation has been made with a Certificate, normal cancellation policy, schedules for deposit and final payments shall apply.
- Changes to reservations may be permitted, subject to availability.
- Certificate is transferable only when gifted and bears no expiration date.
- Certificate is nonrefundable and not replaceable whether lost, stolen or if booking is cancelled.
- Certificate shall be void where prohibited or restricted by law and if sold for cash or other consideration.
Is there a limit to the amount I want to buy one for?
Traditional gift certificates are available in denominations of $50-$2,000.
If purchasing on Gift Card Granny, you can buy one up to $250.
Does Royal Caribbean replace lost gift certificates?
Royal Carribean gift certificates are sent electronically through email and they are redeemed as onboard credit prior to the trip, so there are not many ways for the credit to be lost. As long as you save the email once it is sent to you, you should always have proof of purchase. If you lose the email, the card value will not be refunded to you.

1. Book your Royal Caribbean cruise vacation online at RoyalCaribbean.com.*Deposit is required at the time of booking. Certificates may not be redeemed online. Please follow Step 2 below.
2. After making your cruise reservation, email a copy of this Gift Certificate to SharedservicesGiftCertificateRedemption@rccl.com *An automated response will be sent advising your email has been received. If you do not get an automated response within 24 hours, please try resending your email in a smaller file size or if multiple gift certificates are included, please try sending a separate email for each one.
3. You will receive a notification via email once certificate(s) have been applied to your reservation. Please allow up to 10 business days.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions
GIFT DEVICES MUST BE REDEEMED DIRECTLY THROUGH ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL® for the U.S. dollar value shown on the face of the Gift Device.
- Certificate may be used only as a form of payment toward a new reservation made directly with Royal Caribbean International. After the gift certificate has been applied to a new reservation, the reservation may be transferred to a travel agency.
- Certificate value may only be applied toward the cruise fare for Royal Caribbean International sailings quoted in USD and cannot be used toward payment of the required initial deposit. The initial deposit must be paid in USD (by cash or credit card) at the time of booking.
- Certificate may not be split between multiple reservations.
- Certificate may not be partially redeemed.
- There are no blackout dates and no restrictions as to ship, itinerary or stateroom category; however, all reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking.
- Certificate may not be applied to a reservation within a group, charter or casino program/promotions.
- Certificate may not be used to obtain onboard credit or to settle any shipboard charges.
- Once the reservation has been made, Royal Caribbean’s normal policies regarding cancellation, changes, and deadlines for the payment of deposits and all other payments, shall apply.
- Certificate is transferable only by gift and bears no expiration date.
- Certificate is nonrefundable, has no cash value, and will be not replaced if lost, stolen or if the reservation is cancelled.
- Certificate shall be void where prohibited or restricted by law and if sold for cash or other consideration.
- Passenger Ticket Contract. All passengers must sign and agree to the terms and conditions of Royal Caribbean International’s Cruise Ticket Contract (copies of which are available online at www.royalcaribbean.com) as a condition to sailing. Those terms and conditions are hereby incorporated by reference. IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE CRUISE TICKET CONTRACT CONTAINS IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS ON THE RIGHTS OF PASSENGERS. Among other things, any disputes between passengers and Royal Caribbean International must take place in Miami/Dade County, Florida and must be filed within a certain period of time. By redeeming the certificate the Recipient/holder agrees to be bound by all such terms and conditions.
